The first auction of 2017 for Galway auctioneer O’Donnellan & Joyce is set to take place on Friday March 3 at 2pm at Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway.

O’Donnellan & Joyce, which last week announced its Wild Atlantic Way spring property auction for March 3, said there were record numbers of people in attendance at its open viewings on Saturday last, particularly at properties around Galway city.

Colm O’Donnellan, one of the principal partners of O’Donnellan & Joyce, said: “Prices are still about 35 per cent below the peak of the market of 2007 and the number of transactions recorded in 2016 is well in excess of anything recorded since the slump.”
